Georgia's Economy

Choosing the right location of an outsourcing partner is a key success factor. Georgia is a perfect place for outsourcing projects thanks to its liberal and investment-friendly economic policies and its skilled and multilingual workforce.

Georgia makes it easy for business people to get started: top ranks within several business-rankings, quick and simple procedures for founding a company, a distinctive welcoming culture which is also reflected in business life.

In recent years, the country has carried out important economic reforms. These reforms aimed at creating an attractive economic environment for foreign investors, job creation, growing economic activity, and the prosperity of the population. With its liberal business climate, low taxes, low cost structures, cultural proximity to Europe, talented people, and its economic potential, Georgia presents itself as a reliable and trustworthy outsourcing partner to foreign companies. The favorable strategic location as a transit country for oil and natural gas to the European Union (EU), landscape, history, as well as the developing tourism and banking sectors make the country even more attractive to foreign investors.

Company Portraits

With more than 250,000 companies and 3.7 million inhabitants, Georgia has 60 percent more companies per capita than Germany. This indicates an entrepreneur-friendly country and above-average commitment. Statistics give us clues, but they don’t reflect people's thoughts, actions and feelings. That is why I compiled a spectrum of companies: it represents the span from small start-ups to stock corporations, German and Georgian entrepreneurs, revealing in personal accounts the connection between Georgian thinking and international influences. All have in common a spirit of entrepreneurship and enthusiasm, which I encountered throughout Georgia.
